no serial# or manufacturer, barrel is hexagon shaped about 8" long. Since I know nothing about black powder weapons, I need some help.Hammer is two position and pistol breaks down about 3/4" in either position. The firing pin is a horizontal bar midway on the hammer.Looks very close to being a 22 caliber.Grips are wood and very old, almost black now.Mild engraving on the side, my camara takes lousy pics in low light conditions. My grandson aquired this thing and is newly married and has a new wife and baby, and is not regularly employed, he's hoping it is worth something, he could use the money.:D

Good pictures of any markings would help, but it looks like a European parlor pistol, probably made for a 4mm or 6mm cartridge with only the primer for a charge. The bad news is that those were made in large quantities and unless they are very fancy are not very valuable. If in good condition and functional, they usually bring around $50-100 retail.

Others may be able to offer more or better info, but that will depend on better pictures and description.
