Help me identify my JC Higgins 22

I've had a JC Higgins 22 rifle, model 42 DL. It also says sear and roebuck co on the side, I believe it was purchased through a catalog. I've had it since the mid 90's, got it as a gift when I was about 10. I'm assuming it was manufactured by another company and sold under the JC Higgins name, but I need a new magazine for it, because the one I have has a loose pin and I must be careful with it.

I'm thinking it's a marlin or mossberg.
