help me ID this CZ

i went to the tulsa gunshow this weekend and acquired an old CZ in 7.65

this one is old, cant tell if it is milsurp or what have you.
the slide and frame have matching serial numbers, and its marked on the left side (when the muzzle is poited away from you)

"VZOR 70 CAL 7,56"
MADE IN CZECHLOSLOVAKIA"

At the rear of the slide there is a large circle, with a c inside it,and a z inside of the c (so i assume its a CZ)

above that and a little to the left is an indistinguishable mart, and a 71 next to it.

on the other side of the pistol are the serial numbers.

grips are black plastic with the cz logo.

there is no slide lock on the gun,and the only way to lock it back as far as i can tell is to put a magazine(an empty mag, or a full one,and empty it the hard way) and pull back until it locks. to unlock all you have to do is pull back on the slide.

can anyone ID this firearm?
thanks,
maurice

It's a CZ Model 70 (Vzor = Model).

Double/single action .32 ACP of the general pattern of the Walther series of handguns.

Decent gun, nothing to write home about, and they're available cheap right now.

Probably no more than 30 or so years old.

How much did you give for it?

Great pocket gun!

Love the fact it's got a de-cocker on it! I didn't even know it was there until I read about it in my NRA disassembly guide. Push down on the safety lever when the hammer is back.

I've also heard that you should NOT dry-fire these guys, prone to firing pin breakages.

i cant seem to figure out the decocker.
i rack the slide, then push the safety down, and nothing happens. should the hammer fall?

i paid 140 for the gun itself, 2 mags,and a holster.
gunshow prices....plus it was a private sale, cash and carry and no taxes.
so far im happy.
ill take it out tomorrow and put some rounds through it.

BTW....

if i were to break the firing pin,can it easily be replaced,or is it a chunker gun?

also, how well do these perform,in general?

thanks for your replies,
maurice

I knew the CZ-52's had a brittle cast firing pin, but do the CZ-70's also have this problem?

You should be able to find replacements over at makarov.com or by rooting over at the CZ forums.

I Bought mine from AimSurplus.com. It has about 90 to 95% of it's finish left, I paid 79.00 for it but didn't get a holster. I love this little gun, The D/A trigger pull is super heavy but the S/A pull is great. Best cheap gun I ever bought.:)

i shot mine today

and it wasnt too shabby at all.
no failures at all (only 40 rounds, though)
felt good in the hand, and shot minute of coke can at 15 yds.

i know i paid too much,but like i said,im happy.

holsters for CZ-70

If you want a military type holster with the flap, try your local Army-Navy store. Mine has them for $4.95 each new. These are the same holsters supplied with the Bulgarian Makarovs, with the extra magazine slot.

They had them in a catalog, and had some in stock.
