Help me decide

Ok everybody,
I currently have a few standard 16" ar's and just recently bought another lower. I want to build something different but still in 5.56/223. I cannot decide between a light weight 16", an 18" SPRish type, or 20" designated longer range precision/hunting rifle. It will be mainly just a general use/plinking/hunting platform. My current rifles weight around 6.5-7lbs so I'm unsure if a lightweight would be enough difference to justify. I don't shoot any longer than 300 yards, but love the looks of SPR/DMR rifles.
Any help is appreciated!

Since you are sticking with 5.556/.223 and already have several "standard" 16" rifles, I am thinking 20" match grade heavy barrel, good glass, and light 2 stage trigger.

Thanks for the replies so far. At this point I am leaning towards a 20" upper because I feel like it is different enough from a 16" to make it worth it. The extra velocity would probably be good for varmints too. If I got a 16" lightweight I might regret not getting a longer barrel. A 20" with higher powered optic might be pretty cool. What is the opinion on 18" vs 20" barrels?
