I have a Sig P239 that I want to dress up a little bit. What I was thinking is that I want a finish with a silver tone such as Hard Chrome or Nickel although I hear the Hard Chrome is more durable and chips less than nickel.
Where are some places to have something like this done that have a good reputation. What should I expect to pay and what is a normal turnaround time for something like this?
At first I was thinking about just getting the slide done but now I am thinking I would rather have the whole pistol done with the two mags. I have Cocobolo grips on the gun and think it would look a little silly with a two tone and wood grips on it, too many contrasts.
Also, what hoops will I need to jump through to send this pistol out to have this process done? I imagine you need to go through a licensed dealer for this.
Any recomendations and info you can offer would be more help than you could ever imagine, I have never had anything like this done so every bit of info is useful.
Also, will this void my waranty with Sig by doing this, does Sig offer services like this?
Thanks a million guys and sorry for the barrage of questions.
