Hello I want to get a Husqvarna Commercial FN98 Mauser chambered in either 8x57 Mauser or 30-06. I reload so caliber does not matter. The prices are in Canadian dollars (so they probably are higher than what you see in the US). Thanks! The descriptions are from the dealer. Customers say that he is very modest with his descriptions and rifles are in way better condition than described.

I just bought a 8x57 husky FN98 from Trade Ex, description matched gun. They also have new Serbian mausers which would be better value. Bullets, brass, data and ammo favour the 30-06. Features favour the new. Classic mauser calibre and knucklehead nostalgia favour the 8x57. Mine has a short leade, good head space and good rifling. Why don't you have a picture of each. Mine has a arctic beech stock, some are walnut. Beech works and has that classic Norwegian look.

But I would recomend the Mauser in 30 06. Ive got an 8x57 and love it, but the ammo is a little hard to come by, and reloading components are limited and expensive.
