Help Knoxx stock install - How Remove 870 Receiver End Plate

Trying to install a Knoxx stock on 870 20 gauge. Need to remove the receiver end plate after orig stock removed.

How do I get it out? Is the nut holding it in [what is it screwed into?], should I pry it with a screwdriver [don't want to mess with trigger assembly], or should it just fall off with the stock off?

Assuming you mean the flat plate that's between the stock and the end of the receiver, it should simply drop off when the stock is removed.
