Help! I'm Having Some Handgun Problem!

It started suddenly with my SIG, Beretta, Ruger and BHP. Here is what takes place. Some of you guys who really know guns, please help me out.

1. I take a mag and fill it with ammo.

2. Place the mag and with a firm slap it locks into place

3. Release the slide and chamber a round.

4. Take off the safety.

5. When I pull the trigger there is a controlled explosion and all of a sudden noise, some smoke and the bullet flies from the end of the barrel on it's way to the target.

Guys, what is happening?

Yup, closest thing to a 12-step program you'll find for this addiction. Talking about it only helps it grow...next thing you know, you'll have handguns, rifles, shotguns, and whatever collectables you may fancy. ;)
 
SKS, not to worry. You are a promising member of the Rosie ODonnell Fan Club. In order to complete your qualifications, insert the following step between #4 and #5:

Sks, I'm not sure I believe this. You mean you actually had to hold it and pull the trigger? I've heard from reliable sources that the pistol will actually do this on it's own. You've heard the stories about guns actually killing people.
 
I dunno....if you shine a light down the barrel and look while all this stuff is happening,maybe you'll be able to fix it!

No no no...you need to cram a stick down the barrell to keep that bullet from falling out and hitting something.

If you want to stop this problem all you have to do is buy a Hi-Point,Jennings, or a Lorcin.:barf:

With them you won't have this problem,you will have other problems.:p
 
My diagnosis: You're afflicted with acute S.G.S.! :(

As in Shoot-the-Gun Syndrome:D

Give all your guns to me if you want to be cured!

PS: If you don't want to be cured, just point your gun in a safe direction always, and release your shooting urges! Repeat till all your bullets are gone.

Then buy some more...
 
TMAN - What I don't understand about your predicament is what you substituted for the trigger or was it fully automatic? ;) :p

Thanks for all of the good advice. However, I think that the best cure would be for me to get some more like these and see if this phenomenon continues. There is a new P228 that I'll get my hands on next week and Christmas is coming soon.
