Hey guys. I have a 32 cal revolver that my Dad picked up tn the mid 60's.
Brand is Arminius, 32 cal ,made in Germany.Anyone know anything about this company?I cant come up with much,I seems like a well built gun, still has 90-95% of the blueing left.

Thanks for any help

Hey Greg,

Most of the Arminius revolvers I've seen were made out of that zinc type metal like other inexpensive guns. I have two of them, one a snubby in .38 Special and another in .32 S&W long with a 6 inch barrel...
Honestly, I like both of them. The 6 incher is my rabbit hunting gun. Been using it for years. The .38 has never failed to shoot and shoot well. I usually carry it as a BUG because it's easy to stuff into a back pocket or ankle holster and after 10 years of shooting it, I'm confident that it'll go bang when supposed to.

They're unfairly lumped into the RG catagory, even though they were made much better...

A friend I work with has a 4" .357. It handles full house magnums very well. Only problem is the rear sight comes loose and falls off, but some lock-tite will fix that. They are very unique looking.

These were named after Arminius, who defeated a large Roman force. I daresay he turned over in his grave when he heard what a piece of junk was honored with his name.

He is still a Germanic hero, I believe.

It depends. Weihrauch makes the Arminius branded guns (at least some of them) and has definitely put out at least some quality firearms. You could have a gunsmith look at it if you're worried about it being safe to fire.
