A friend has a Buehler two piece base that he cannot figure what it goes to. He inherited these from his father, so he knows what was owned since he also inherited his guns. Of course, a few were sold and or traded off over the years, but he has a pretty good idea what he owned. As I said, they are a two piece base with an "F" on each. He thinks the front one is for a FN Mauser, but the rear has him confounded.
In an effort to help him, I googled Buehler, but there isn't a lot of info out there. I was hoping to find a cross reference or something, that's how I found the base for my J.C. Higgins Husqvarna. Anyone have any ideas? The only Mauser his dad owned is a Johnson Automatics in .257 Roberts, and it's already equipped with bases and rings. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Bumping my own thread. Just to clarify, this is a two pc. base, the front does fit an FN Mauser (large ring), the rear does not, so it is either for something else or it's mixed, but both are marked "F". Any suggestions? Any references? Thanks again.

Could you please post a picture of the "F", measure the width of the rings base and the diameter of the rings?

Thanks for the replies, I'll forward this info on. Could be I misspoke about the code too, I've got a crappy memory. Old age, I guess.
