Help identifying Merkel

Hi all,
I'm wondering if someone can help me identify this side-by-side. My research leads me to believe it's a Merkel Model 8 made in November 1990, but I've never seen a gun with no apparent indication of its model before, and I'd like to be sure about it before trying to value it.

Nice 12 gauge; as I am sure you know, with M/F, 2-3/4" chambers and 18.5mm bores - the nominal "normal".

It could also be a Model 47.

FWIW, not many Euro double guns are marked with a model number, and some only have the maker's mark encoded underneath, along with the proofmarks.


As posted, a call with the SN should resolve the question.

Model 8 has plain extractors, 47 has ejectors; otherwise very similar.
