Help identifying a FN Hi-Power

Please help identify a FN Hi-Power with the following markings. Date of manufacture and possible use in a theater of battle are my primary interests.

mp(indistinct marking)

There are also markings as follows

where "bird" is a the silhouette of a bird with breast forward and head turned to the viewer's left.

I tried checking on fnhipower.com, but it doesn't seem to be there right now.

Looks like you have a Nazi proofed Hi-Power from WWII. The W84140 is probably a "Wa140" which is what Nazi Hi-Powers were marked with and the bird stamp is the Waffenamt acceptance stamp I believe.
