Walther made training rifles in the 1930s, as did Mauser, Geco, and about every other gunmaker in Germany, but they were all bolt actions.
I have not seen anything about the Walther Model 2 Autoloading rifle being used as such officially. I guess if you were a well off little kraut you could shoot it at your Hitler Youth summer camp.
The Walther Model 2 is a very fine rifle, not real common after 70 years. Beretta made a similar rifle in the 1950s.
