Help I.D. revolver; 10-35???

My friend has an old DA revolver...6-shooter, with break-open action. Sorry I don't have a pic available. the grips appear to be bakelite, and have fancy scrolled 'H' on each panel. There are no marks anywhere except for above the bbl...it reads, " military 1919-- calibre 10-35 ." This firearm looks old...bbl approx 5" long. I can almost chamber a .40 cal cartridge into the cylinder.

Any ideas?
 
Well, I don't know what the break top with the H might be, but the only handgun round I know of that was ever called a 10.35 was the Italian round for the Bodeo revolver. That was a solid frame, though, so this one I don't know about.

Any chance of posting a picture of it?
 
¿ 10.35 Glisenti Model of 1874 ?
Seem to have been marked either 10.4 or 10.35.

Wildly guessin as I don't have a pic of the 1874 Glisenti.
1872 Glisenti was a gate loader but not the foggiest about the 74.

10.4mm adopted by the Italian Army in 1874 in a Chamelot-Delvigne revolver and later in other revolver types. Also used in the Glisenti Model 1899 Revolver. Sometimes listed as the 10.35 Italian Revolver or 10.35 Glisenti. Both blackpowder and smokeless rounds were loaded.
