help for a rem.,russian made

I recently became the owner of a new russian made remington 12 side x side. The stock is made of really beautifully grained walnut but with a recoil pad is still 3" short. I know i can restock it but really hate to lose the walnut on it now .... any suggestions? thanks in advance

Buy a beautifully grained replacement stock.

Seriously, short of restocking, nothing you do will make the gun look decent when you are talking about making the stock 3" longer.

I wonder what would happen if you called Remington. The worst they can do is tell you they can't help.

FWIW, custom shotgun stocks are pretty expensive, well into the hundreds of dollars, unless you can find a pre-inletted stock, which I don't think will be available for that gun.

Brownells sells black spacer I've used on several rifles and it's a pleasing way to add length that looks fine when ground down properly.
