Help Finding Security Six pre 151-.... Grips

Does it make a difference as to what the serial number is on Security Sixes?

The reason I ask is because Hogue e-mailed back that they "do not make a grip for pre 151-..... serial numbers" and mine was one of the early models in 1972 with a born on date of 150-04140.


Did Ruger slightly modify their early model frames and if so, what are my options?

Pachmayr hasn't responded so I'm somewhat of a loss as to where to turn for a soft rubber grip.
 
it does make a difference on grips for security sixes. the first couple of years were different from the later years. you might try Herretts otherwise it will be very tough to get different grips
