Help a scope newb out

Hi folks, I bought a redfield 3x9 scope for my 22 plinker, and it/I shoot low and left on the target. I've tried moving the knobs on the scope but they don't seem to do much of anything. Thanks

I would send the company a e-mail about it, and tell them you would like a new one.

Are your scope rings too tight that they are deforming the scope tube and impeding movement of the inner tube? Are the rings at slightly different heights and bending the scope tube as that will also impede movement?

Take the scope out of the rings and place it in a V-notched box so the scope is stationary. While looking through the scope, aim at something about 25 - 50 yds away, and turn the adjustments to check for movement.

Nothing to see here, I'm a moron. I found out the things I was moving are covers for the actual adjusters
