since i have a valid 03 license... what exactly is the law on hand guns... i know i can purchase one a month, but i find it unclear do i need to have a separate license for the hand gun? or is my 03license enough. im in calif. so damn confusing.
If you are in the state, all handguns must go through a 01 FFL. Long guns must also go through a 01 FFL unless you have a certificate of eligibility from the state.
If you are outside the state, you can purchase any C&R classified firearm (provided it doesn't fit a "bad" category in CA, like an "Assault Weapon" or NFA item) and register it when you return by mailing in a form and fee.
