hello.. newb here with question about getting a permit

hello all. hope you dont mind my newbie question. i live in westchester county, ny. although my perminant address is in greene county, ny. that is where my drivers license is from.. so where would i go for a permit?

just a little background, im 31 and ive been around firearms my entire life.. ive fired numerous pistols, and am a bit of a self proclaimed marksman with a rifle. ;)

im looking to get a pistol permit as a hobby mostly. not worried about home defense, or looking to hunt people down... haha.. i miss target shooting and want to get back into it but with my own pistol..

thanks mete.. my perminant address is my folks house, although i havent lived their in about 10 years.. but ive moved quite a bit the last 9 years so i always kept my drivers license there for convenience. although i have been at my westchester address for close to 3 years now. would i have a problem getting a permit in westchester if my license has a different address?
