Heckler & Koch Selbstladebusche SLG 97

Received my Frankonia Jagd catalog the other day and noted that German citizens with permits may now but a very civilianized version of the G3/HK91. Unlike the HK91, which looked like the G3, the SLG97 has wood furniture. The stock is of the modernistic (read "legal") with its pistol grip integral with the stock. The gun lacks a muzzle brake and the sights are diopter rear (200, 300, 400 meters and 100 meter V notch) and with standard HK91 front sight blade.

What really distinguishes the SLG97 from the HK91 is that the magazine housing and the metal for the trigger housing appears to be one piece of metal. Magazine release appears to be the regular button and like the HK91, there is no ambidextrious bottom release like the AK.

Disassembly appears orthodox with the two take down pins at the rear of the receiver. There are no holes in the stock to stow the pins in when they're removed from the receiver.

Retail price is $2,690 marks.
