For crying out loud!!
When will I not be set upon by the temptation of fine firearms on sale. This time I spotted a used semi that look nice and solid. And what do you know... Another Astra!
What the heck is it about that Iberian marque that keeps reeling me in?!
LEAVE ME ALONE, ASTRA!! I CAN'T AFFORD ANY MORE GUNS!!
This time it was an A-100, compact, double-stack 9.
Stunningly good SA trigger (from my limited experience): better than my SP-01, but a heavy, albeit progressive DA. Reset was just as good if not a bit better. Nice fit and finish with an all-steel (I think), treated (not coated) frame and slide. I think it was a decocker, but I was in a rush so I can't be sure.
I had to dip my head in a snow drift to break the haze of desire that was descending on me, much to the amusement of my 18mth year old (and the puzzlement of my dogs).
I tell you.... window shopping is becoming a hazardous activity.
