heat shield w/ghost rings for mossberg 590

I'll be picking up a mossberg 590 for a HD gun in the next day or so, and wondered if anyone had any comments on ATI's steel heatshield with ghost ring sights. At HD distances are ghost rings a significant improvement in speed of target acquisition and/or accuracy over just a plain front bead? Also, does anyone have any experiance with this or something similar (or even heard any reviews/comment on them)?:

Just wondering if these are easy to install, fit securely, etc. (I.E.does it rattle around or fit snug? Will the sights remain true, or do they tend to get out of alingnment from the heat shield sliding/turning under recoil?)

I apreciate any info you all can give on this.

Personally I dont think ghost rings are any advantage at all with a HD shotgun. In fact I advise against them to decrease the chance of snagging them on something. I think the tritium big dot sight is best for your application. Heat sheilds wont serve much purpose either unless your planning on a prolonged shootout with a low capacity weapon. Good luck

to ghost or not to ghost?

My buddy has the heatshield/ghost ring setup on his shotgun and it is pretty cool looking, I have the tijicon sight on mine and I like it. Its all in how you want your shotgun to look, both realisticly are pretty trivial for a HD gun but they do look cool. I would referance the seach records on here for "Shotgun Pics" and you can see how all the tricked out guns look.

Also, yes it does fit snug, no rattling. and as far as staying in place down the line I dont really know, he doesn't shoot it all that much. Its just his little china doll.
But for a HD gun the sight being true wont really apply in close quarters.
