Do soldiers who fired 50 caliber MGs suffer from hearing loss years later? With the current popularity of .50 rifles, I have read several articles about how great the muzzle blast is; my question is what about those GI's that manned quad 50's. From the pictures, it doesn't look like they had any muffs on. For that matter, what about even larger cal. weapons?

Many of us wear hearing aids, and before that I saw what you said, didn't hear it.
