Healthy game?

Does anyone know of anyone, or heard of anyone, that has gotten sick of of eating wild game meat?

Such as the DNR always warns about animals with certain deseases and what not.

Personally I have never heard of anyone getting sick in any way, I have never worried about it.

I figured people have been eating deer longer than cattle, and if it gave them "Mad Cow" at some point we would of stopped.

NOPE!!! I do not "protect" myself with rubber gloves etc. when butcherin' game including those germ ridden hogs we are warned about. I have never had anything more than a hangover after handlin' game meat.

I don't give lyme disease a second thought as it is a very rare thing around these parts...
If you ain't livin' on the edge, yer jist takin' up space!
I also wouldn't hog hunt with dogs and no gun if I was overly worried about collateral damage;)

Eh I don't care what they say about a few isolated incidents, game meat is better than anything you can buy at the store. If the animal looks sickly, dont shoot it. If the liver or heart look bad dont eat that animal. No magic there, either it looks and smells good or it doesnt.

At risk of offending the resident atheists..., you can always bless your meal and have faith! ;)

Or you can use the hungry man's prayer...
"Pass the beans, pass the meat... fergit grace... let's eat!":D
