Anybody there know anything about this guy?
If he's legit, I'll send him a few bucks.
This was on his website.

The Issues: Defense of the Second Amendment
When I was a kid, just eleven years old, I heard a loud crash in the back of my house. It was early in the morning, maybe 1:30 or 2:00 am. A man came in the back door of our house, through the laundry room and into the kitchen.
I was the first one down the stairs. My eyes met the intruder's. His were glossy and red. He was obviously high on some drug. His hair was dark brown and straggly--it fell down below his shoulders.
To this day, I do not know what he wanted. All I know is that he did not belong in my home. My father was in prison. There was no one to protect my two brothers, my two sisters and me except my mom.
The intruder stepped toward me slowly. I wanted to run away, but I just couldn't move. My older sister came down the stairs and yelled at him to get out of our house. But the guy kept moving closer and closer.
Then my mom came down the stairs in her nightgown. She held a handgun at the ready. She asked what was going on. This guy sobered up in about a heartbeat.
He very quickly assessed the situation. A mother in her nightgown with a handgun protects her five children from an intruder who breaks into her house in the middle of the night. He turned around and fled from the house.
I ran and closed the door after he ran out. I tried to lock it but could not because he had broken the frame. I was scared, but relieved. My mom put the five of us to bed and, believe it or not, I slept. I knew we were safe.
Why is this story relevant to my running for Congress? I'll tell you why. Because Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Bill Bradley and others want to use the federal government to water down our Second Amendment rights. They mean well. They are sincerely concerned about crime. [Oh Yeah! - Oatka]
However, because their political philosophy is based on the belief that politicians in Washington should decide what is best for citizens, rather than entrusting us with individual liberty, they will passionately push an anti-gun agenda which will eliminate the inalienable right law abiding citizens have to choose how to protect themselves.
The next Congress is going to have to face the issue of whether or not the right to private ownership of firearms should be further restricted.
What kind of man would I be if the citizens of Arizona's first congressional district entrusted me with a limited amount of federal power, for a limited amount of time, and I used that power to take away a woman's right to choose to use a firearm to protect herself and her children? My mom was there to protect me when my dad was in prison. She used a handgun.
I will not vote to take that right away from others. I just won't do it.
