Headband or Neckband Ear Muffs

Do you prefer regular headband ear muffs that go over the head or behind the head neckband ear muffs.

I am consider wearing the ear muffs while hunting and was thinking it would be easier to wear a stocking hat with the behind the head neck band version for cold weather.

Any disadvantages to the behind the head neckband styles?
