I went to Menards this morning to buy a new storm door for the house. Of course I had to swing by my local gun shop to see what was new and interesting. I spotted a pair of Ruger LC9 pistols, one new and one ever so slightly used. The new one was priced $399. The used one $299. Hummmmm. I’ve been in the market for a easily concealed semi auto for a few months now, in anticipation of Illinois getting concealed carry. (No, I’m not holding my breath) So I asked to see the used LC9. Very nice. The guy behind the counter told me the original owner bought it three weeks ago, shot 50 rounds threw it, then traded it back in for a 92FS. He wanted a range pistol and the LC9 really isn’t that. Other then a small wear mark on the barrel hood, the pistol looked new. My wife even said she would put the first 25% down on it for layaway! I told them I’d think about it. Went to Long John Silver’s for lunch, then made up my mind, I’ll buy the used LC9. Back to the gun shop, and my heart sank. They sold the pistol 15 minutes prior to me coming back. Damn, why do I always hesitate when good deals like that are screaming to me to buy them? I shouldn't even questioned myself at that price. Buy it!

That stinks. The worst part is you may be looking for that same deal forever now. You can ask the shop to call you if another one shows up. Was this in Lyons?
