Question: I'm looking to buy a single trigger coach gun in a month or so, probably a Stoeger, primarily for home defense. I'm going with a coach because my wife, who I would hope would use it if I weren't around, is afraid of guns. I'm afraid she would short stroke a pump in the heat of the moment. I also was going with a 20 ga to limit the recoil, and hopefully her fear of the shotgun.
My question is this: I was going to go with a 20 ga with 2 3/4 in #4 buck, but have just found the new "mini-bucks" by Aguila. I could up the coach to a 12 ga and I presume the recoil would be significantly reduced. What do you all think? 20 ga in 2 3/4 #4 or 12 ga with the 1 3/4 mini-bucks?
