We have a LaserShot system at Valhalla. We use it for recreation and for training.
LaserShot systems work.. but make sure you buy the right system. They have everything from their home entertainment version (which is like the old Playstation Duckhunt game jacked up to 2005 and then some) which you can have running for a few grand investment all they way up to Military Counter Ambush 270 degree, 20 + shooter convoy simulators (built around the hull of a HMMV, of course). THe most expensive training systems support recoil simulation with compressed air and full auto. The convoy secrity program uses multiple cameras, projectors and screens and can is sensitive enought to read every shot from a SAW ripping across bad guys.... even multiple guns being fired at once on any screen. Very Cool. With the hummer (which of course is tied into a driving simulator which allows you to use the gas/brake/steering wheel to move the occupants of your vehicle "through" the scenes on the screens) the system can cost over $200k.
