Have Buckmark Magazines change in the last 15 years?

My dad has a browning buckmark. I love the gun. However he only has one magazine and it doesn't work right. We have picked up a couple of mags from gunshows out of bins. Both of them didn't work at all. They wouldnt latch in. My question is. Have buckmark magazines changed in the last 15-20 or so years. I am not positive of the age of my dads gun but it isn't all that old. I want to buy a factory mag but I don't want to wast 19 bucks. Please help. Larz

The only change I'm aware of is the baseplate is now larger. I have three Buckmarks and they all work with both types of factory mags.

I've never tried any after-market brands in them.
