Hasting Barrels and Chokes

Hi Guys,
I tried this earlier and I'm not sure if it worked or not, so if anyone is seeing this for the 2nd time...Sorry.
Here is my problem. I put a Hastings barrel on my 3" Rem 870 about 10 years ago. I have screw in chokes including an extra full turkey choke. The extra full choke is marked "lead shot only". I am considering using Hevi-shot this spring and Hastings website, states that their Turkey chokes are not designed for Hevi-shot. There are plenty of aftermarket chokes out there that can be used for Hevi-shot, but they are sold for specific gun brands. You can buy any choke you want for a Remington 870, but will it fit in the Hastings Barrel?
I called Hastings customer service line. For those of you who haven't done so, you have 2 options. 1 - you can leave a message. 2 - you can change your message.
I don't want to buy a new barrel just to try out Hevi-shot. Has anyone patterned it using just a full choke?

Hevi patterns several constrictions tighter than the choke would with lead shot. I would pattern the gun starting with Modified and then Full, I think you will have a solid 40 yard gun with the full choke for sure.

I already have a solid 45 yard gun using the Extra full turkey choke and 3" Remington, Golden Premier, copper plated #2's. Unfortunately, I can not find the 2's anymore. The best I can do is #4's. That's when I started looking at the Hevi-shot as an alternative.

Haven't recieved much feedback, so I'm guessing that either there isn't much interest or nobody knows.
Hastings replied to my e-mail today. Just in case someone out there had the same question here is what they sent me.

"Only Hastings chokes will fit in the Hastings barrel. At this time we do not have a choke that is special for the Hevi-shot. So far they have told me to treat the Hevi-shot as steel and use the Mod or more open choke for it. I have not seen any chokes that have shot the Hevi-shot so don't know if it will damage the choke as it is not heat treated and the other ones are that are recommended for the Hevi-shot. Thank You"

Right now I plan on patterning it using a full choke, I'll let you know how it works out.
