The bans on Chinese ammo and guns was an administrative action on the part of the Clinton administration. Bush has not seen fit to nullify the Clinton bans or the administrative bans put in place by his father.

We import just about everything China makes, except for guns and ammo.

I know they are cheap, but all the purchase of PRC firearms does is weaken shooting in America by costing jobs within the industry.

It is not as though the PRC allows its own citizens to own arms and ammo- possession of one round can mean death in that country.

I agree. I personally will probably never buy a chinese gun.

However, importing everything else from China while banning guns and ammo isn't right. Either allow it all to be imported, or none.
