Has Steyr revealed their new US distributor?

I heard that Steyr announced that their new US distributor would be Dynamit Nobel of NJ. I wrote this company an e-mail asking about the pistols and got a reply stating that they were not going to be the pistol importers, only the rifles and that the pistol importer would be chosen later. Now, that one sentence took just over 2 weeks. Kind of glad these people aren't importing the pistols. If you need service you would hope to have a quicker response than this.

Just got off the phone with Dynamit Nobel and yes they will be handling Steyr pistols and parts. Right now they are waiting for all of the paper work to finish up and I was told that they hoped to he ready by the end of April.
 
Well, I'd like to know just who in blue blazes answered my e-mail! :mad:

You would think that somebody who took 2 weeks to answer a simple e-mail would have checked out the facts first! :rolleyes:
 
I emailed Dynamit Nobel yesterday asking about both Steyr pistols and parts (via the submission form on their web site) and this is the response they emailed back to me today ...

We will not carry the pistols or parts. I expect to know the new distributor in about three weeks.

It could be that they don't even know. When I talked to them they had every intention of importing them. They could have easily changed their mind and it could be going back and forth. It could also be a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. I am just glad that I have my M40.
