Has anyone seen this video of a Baretta 2?

It's my understanding that the Benelli is formerly the fastest autoloader made. Now it is the Extrema2.

Don't forget guys...

Benelli is owned by Beretta Holdings Group. :D

I'm curious when it unseated the SX-2. At one time the Browning Gold and the Winchester (basically the same FN gun) were faster against the clock. Of course, I suppose it depends on who is running the clock.

Video like this is neat to look at, but really useless for any practical purposes. You can only shoot at game with so many shots until it dies.
Generally, if you hit it the first time, you don't have to take the next shot, and if you are like I am, it's hard enough to keep track of more than 2 downed birds, at a time.
A good old mossberg will do that for about 1/10th the price.

Wild Bill: you are about right. The videos are made to impress people. I have an older 390 and it will shoot as well, the problem is I can't shoot that well as to hit 5 or 6 birds hand thrown. Unless you are some kind of a trick shooter, who need the "fastest" gun. An old 1100 will shoot as fast as anyone will generally need.

Wild Bill & Ruger4570 are both correct. Those videos were indeed made to impress people. That's how they sell firearms. Until I bought my Benelli the only shotgun I ever owned was a Mossberg 500, two of them in fact. But because of health reasons I was unable to use a pump shotgun any longer so I needed an autoloader. I bought the Benelli not only because it was fast but more importantly it was the lightest one around.

As for "fastest gun", I know it's not that important but consider this. Lots of people buy sports cars that are capable of 200mph but never go that fast but it's nice to know they could if they wanted to.

Not The Gun

That shooter is hitting the targets with his skill. The gun he is using is impressive, but I really doubt I could do that with this shotgun, or any shotgun for that matter.
