Has anyone ordered from Taurus USA lately?,,,

I just got off the phone with Taurus USA,,,
I wanted to order a spare mag for my 22-PLY and 25-PLY.

They said they needed the serial number of the pistol,,,
Why would they need the serial number of the guns,,,
Is it to ensure they send me the correct item?

I registered the guns with them for the warranty,,,
So they should have my name associated with a serial number.

But what if I wanted to order some mags as a Christmas gift?

This is weird to say the least.

Actually, I ended up not giving it to them,,,

I went to their website and downloaded the mail-in order form,,,
No where on it was there a space for serial number.

The customer dis-service yoyo asked for it,,,
I told her it was not required on their paper form,,,
I also told her that it shouldn't be required in any case.

She said she couldn't initiate the order without it,,,
I asked to speak to a supervisor of some sort,,,
After a 7-10 minute hold I spoke with one.

Same thing,,,
"We need the serial number sir.",,,
"I'm not giving you the serial number of my gun just to order a spare magazine!"

"Do you want my business or not?"

He took my order.
