Has anyone had this problem?

Centerfiresystems.com said no gunsmithing required...

I wish instructions were required.

I have been browsing the internet trying to find out how, but its not helping. If anyone could help, Id appriciate it. thanks so much

It looks like an AK muzzle brake. Is the small piece threaded? Does the large piece have a hole for the pin to fit through?

To put the AK74 style on a barrel threaded for an AK47, you probably need an adapter to go from 14left AK47 to 24right AK74. Don't know if the FSB has the hole for the spring & pin...you may have to drill. If that's what you're trying to do.

Looks like you have the wrong brake for your AK. It appears as though you have a pin on brake. You just need one of the reverse thread brakes to fit. I just bought one at the latest gun show for around $20. The 74 type brakes are pretty effective, but they do weigh quite a bit.

Thank you all

Thank you all for your fast responses. I appriciate them all.

Alas, I reverted back to the last resort: Reread the website of purchase

It did infact state it was a mak-90/"ak-47" suppressor...but it has no threads

It is a pin muzzle break, I dont think there is anyway to mount it to my Polish. :(

And to my defence centerfiresystems.com didnt say anything about it being threaded. I should have known the difference or pin vs thread...but at the same time I think its a little irresponsible of them...as I bought 100 oil cans that were empty.

The ad didnt state they were empty, just said 100 oil cans 4.99! So I jumped.

(I cant remember the real price, but it was around 4.99)

So...I think Ill stick to cheaperthandirt.com for my surplus. It was delivered to the wrong address, and there are some other quality problems.

You want a thread on brake. Some are made to thread on directly on the muzzle (14mm), some require an adapter(24x1.5mm RH-14mm LH).

I had this one I got from Kvar. Its a 7.62 AK74 type that uses an adapter.
