Has anyone had experience with tech plate?

I was looking for someone to refinish my handgun and found tech plate.

They seem to know what they are doing. And....they seem to have the best price around as well.

So, has anyone had experience with them?

I am interested in the chrome finish, if anyone can comment on the finish, that would be great.

I have had four or five 1911's finished in satin hard chrome by Tech Plate. Very satisfied with their services.

I have had seven pistols and multiple mags plated at Techplate, either in hard-chrome or electroless nickel. Their service and prices have always been excellent. Usually my pistols are back to me within three weeks from being mailed out to them. If you have any questions email them and address it to Marshall. He has always been helpful.

Have you guys had issues with the slide to frame fit or reliability after it has been plated/refinished?

No problem with fit or function after hard chroming my pistols. I also had some blued parts hard- chromed, including some hammers. The hard-chrome treatment consistently dropped the trigger pull by about 1/4th pound compared to the pre-hardchromed trigger pull as the sear rode more smoothly on the chromed hammer hooks . Other than that, no difference with the pistols, small parts or mags.
