Has anyone ever tried Brownells Metal-Coat Epoxy?

I want to try it on a sand blast finish, but I can't find any examples of what it looks like. I don't know if I want the matte or semi-gloss. I don't have my own sandblaster, so I'd have to pay someone to do it, and I don't want to be funneling money into a finish that's never finished.

Does anyone have any examples they could upload, or link?

Are there any hardware store equivilents, preferably more cost effective?

TIA

I suspect it's the same as the Acra-Seal for wood. I have used Acra-Seal on metal, it works fine. The matte and gloss have to do with the resin itself, and the underlying finish will probably affect it a little.

I have used it on customer guns as a clear coat over aluma-hyde and bare metal. Has worked good but the can is smaller than you think for the price.
