Harris Bi Pod Question

Installed Harris Bi Pod , The two wings that attach to stud have holes I attached a sling mount to it , is that what the holes are for ? It seems to work fine

That's what they're for, in my experience though it feels a little off to have the sling mounted that low on the front end. Weight distribution seems odd, but I don't spend a lot of time using slings either.

Pretty sure there should be a small ring in the holes. I think it's just to keep them facing the same direction to ease install.

Don't think I would trust them to support the weight of the weapon while slung.

The Harris bypod that I have has two tabs that have a hole through one end and a pin on the other. You squeeze the tabs together so that the pins go over your sling stud and then you release the tabs and the pins engage the stud. When you tighten the set screw it locks those pins in place and then you attach your sling through the holes in the tabs.

sorry about the quality, took this with my cell phone. Mine doesn't have an additional stud or a place where you could install one, I think it has something to do with whether or not you have a model that swivels.

That's what they are for

I have Harris bipods on 4 different rifles and they work extremely well with a sling. All they do is attach to your rifle sling stud and then they have one for you to use, why would it not work? All of mine work perfectly.

Thanks For the Info, I didn't think it wouldn't work, I wanted to play it safe and speak to the people in the know. Thanks Chris
