Harris Bi pod placement on MINI 14

Just wondering did I place my bi pod too far back or should it be closer to the gas block? My stock tapers down on the inside and I had it moved back a little bit so the swivel stud could have enough bite on the stock without breaking through.

 
It won't really hurt anything being back a little bit. You might loose a little stability but you gain a little range of movement.

Back when we shot rifles in IPSC as side matches I mounted a swivel for a bi pod right in front of the mag on my AR, IMHO for rapid engagement under 300 it's a very workable set up
