Harrington&Richardson Protector or Escort Aimguard?

I am looking for an inexpensive (don't like to use the word cheap) 18.5" barrel pump shotgun that I can just kinda throw it in my jeep and not having to worry about scratches and dings. I just don't want to do that with my Browning. This will be just a home defense and walk in the woods gun. I have been looking at the H&R Pardner Protector or the Escort Aimguard. I know they are both imported, but I would like to get the one that's built the best. I have heard a good bit on the H&R and all seem to be pretty positive for the most part. I haven't heard too much about the Escort. I know both of these are low end guns, but I really don't need or have the money for a Remington or Mossberg.I think the H&R is made in China and the Escort is made in Turkey. Do any of you guys have any knowledge on either or both of these guns? Thanks

ive had the H&R pardner pump protector now for the better part of 41/2 - 5 yrs. and ive have'nt had a problem that wasn't ammo related . some times those Winchester promo shells will give me a hard time. all other brands and flavors will shuck & bang just fine even the other flavors of Winchester ammo work great ive got her stoked with win. buck shot as we speak and I use Winchester reduced recoil slugs as a local GS had them on sale . but the PP is an excellent shotgun for the money I own both Mossberg & Remington shotguns and when I wanted a dedicated HD gun I did my home work and got a H&R PP HTH . :)
