I inherited a Harrington & Richardson Model 865 Plainsman .22 s.l.lr It has No magazine, I have been shoting it buy removing the bolt droping a round replacing the bolt and fire. I have looked everwhere I know of for it's magazine, no where has them Is there any others that will work? How old is this gun it has no dates on it, It was suposedly my moms twin brothers gun so my guess is the 60's?

Have you tried Gun Parts, of West Hurley NY?
914-679-2417
They show, in the catalog a replacement six shot for your rifle. Do you remember if the magazine was straight or curved?

If straight, order part #S865-056 $17.50
If Curved, order part #C865-056, $14.50.

When you order tell them you got the prices from catalog 20th edition.

This model was mfg'd from 1949-1986

Other sneaky trick is to go to old Gun Digest or Shooters Bible and find the major chain store that it may have been made for under another name... eg "J.C. Higgins" and try the "parts department" of that chain store. IF they handled the gun and still have parts, it can be very cheap... IF... good luck.

Rangerco. Unless Sears has changed their policy, they will only sell gun parts to licensed gunsmiths. This is what they told me when I tried to get a new stock for a rilfe of theirs about 9 years ago. I wrote them back telling them to go to hell, got a stock from Fajen, and now have a better looking rifle anyway.
