Hi need some help with this rifle, like what is it. The only thing I can find on it is Harrington and Richardson Worcest, Mass USA. There is know cal. stamp on the barrel or anything on the barrel. The stock look kind of like a mossberg with the red-green safety on the rear But my not be the right stock but it fits the rifle. Was sold to me as a .22lr without a bolt I know way did I buy it without the bolt, came with to other rifles. Had the rifle less than a day and my guess is a l461 .17remington .22lr will not fit. What do you think it is? Ok I have to say it what about a bolt? Thank for your time, and help. ChowPicture 174.jpg

Look up H&R 265 (not 256). Barrel and stock look alike. Can't find that it was chambered in .17 though. Never been to Deltaville but I bet it's nice on the bay!

You are 100% model #265 tried other .22 and it went right in. Going to have to get a bolt (other gun] to see how it shoots or do you think its a wast of money have 12 others and the two mossberg 146b I have are hard to beat, and a marlin 80-G that I pay $45 for will out shoot most .22 Thank`s for your help. I wouldn't spend a bunch of money on it. Even if you find a bolt, you'll have to have it checked by a smith for safety. You might find someone that wants parts from it though, if they're in ok shape (receiver, barrel, stock). Looks like it might have been someone else's parts gun first.

I don`t know would like to find a bolt for it. I know it will be a bolt with a rifle around it. So I will still have a rifle without a bolt. The rifle is about 6 pounds right now and its not the stock. Would you know if a 565 pal bolt would fit? Pick up four more .22 one is a mossberg 640kc. The 640 is on it`s way to a ffi almost a c&r some are but how do you tell. Do you know what the c is in the 640kc c= Cost a lot to shoot. Will be shooting this one a bit slower. On a funny note just started into reloading cast my own my frist try was 4 hour ago frist shot @50 yards 3" high next 5 shots no idea where they went ,5 more shots with factory right on scopes fine. Must of fell apart on the way. 30-30, 154gr. 11gr 2400 No Gas Check . Miss a 6" target @ 50 yard`s. So I`m on my way to get BIGGER TARGETS . John
