Happy birthday to me!

OK. No new gun so far...

But my wife surprised me with a trip to Vegas! :) :) :) Hmmm. If I win the big one I could afford lots of new guns. Hmmm.

Unsolicited advice,

Take out X amount of dollars that you can afford to lose BEFORE you go to Vegas, then take that amount and buy as much blue chip stock as you can (Proctor and Gamble is low right now and its a steal).

Now go to Vegas, see the sights, rent a machine gun if you want, and watch others gamble.

In 20 years, that money will probably buy you a trip to Australia with plenty left over.

Happy B-Day Erik. I like Jack 99's suggestion about renting MGs. To heck with gambling. Bring on the full autos! Video tape it and it'll be a birthday you'll remember for a long time.

Blackjack can't compare to shooting full-autos in the desert! Go for that! Besides, gambling in Vegas is a losing proposition. They don't get rich by letting a large number of people win!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIK :) Enjoy your trip to Vegas :) And most of all GOOD LUCK :)

Happy Birthday, Erik! Have fun in Vegas...but save some of that money for me...I am heading there next Friday!!! A great concert, some gambling, the rollercoaster and great friends...what a weekend it will be! Winning some money would be the icing on the cake!!! :D

Let the man have some fun..... Sheesh!!!

The idea about setting aside a certain amount to "spend" gambling is a good idea. If you enjoy it... It is like going to a Baseball game or something, you have to pay a fee to enjoy the activity. Then, if you win, it is a great *bonus*.

I have averaged about 5 trips a year for several years to Vegas and always enjoyed myself, if you need tips on good restaurants, etc.. Email me.

A BIG Happy Birthday, Erik. Go to Vegas, spend a little money, have fun playing the games. I agree with Rob that it's like buying a ticket to some event and you can look at it as a cover charge. IF you win - great!

But remember...THE HOUSE NEVER, NEVER GAMBLES.

Yep - risking a little is a pretty good gift as well! ... and share it with the missus - Happy Birthday (and good luck).
Mine's coming up on Monday 10th. and my wife has given me a Winchester Model 70 Stainless Classsic in .308. Pretty good guess on her part at what I've been missing (well, it will be when she finds out ;) ) Our hunting season is opening here in Argentina and I have the feeling she may give me a trip after some hogs later on :D

Happy Birthday Eric. Mine was Apr 3.
I did get a gun for my birthday. Hope you do too, one way or another. :)

Well the weekend is over. No, I will not be retiring, moving to my dream ranch, and aquiring mass stores of classic arms as yet.

But I had a great time! The mega casino-hotels are impressive. I didn't win big, but I lost less than half of what was budgeted. Everyone should go at least once. Me, I'll probably make it twice. :)

Thanks for the birthday wishes!

Erik
