Happiness is...10,000 primers

Let us know how they work. Since smaller quantities aren't available, people will want to know how well they compare to their description. A very good way to test them against other primers is with a chronograph, using the same charge and bullets in both. Make up 30 of each, if you have that many old primers to spare. Chronograph both, alternating a magazine of 5 of one and then 5 of the other, recording the SD's for each string. The alternating is so fouling and barrel heat and any change in conditions is shared by both sets of loads. Add the SD's for all the mags of the same primer type, the take the square root of that sum (this is how SD's combine). Compare the two results. The smaller SD is producing more consistent ignition, for whatever reason.

Yes, I ordered them from X-Treme Bullets. But I don't know who actually makes the primers.

There is a lot of speculation around various forums. Here is one such speculation from Tomcat 10 on Glock Talk forum:

I bought 10k Ginex small pistol primers from Ventura Munitions 13 months ago. They are manufactured in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The quality is good and they seat a little better than CCI. I wonder if X-Treme is rebranding Ginex pimers.

I was wondering the same thing as FITASC. There are literally only a handful of companies manufacturing primers worldwide. In the US CCI, Federal, Remington and Winchester are the only ones I was aware of. I wonder if they are manufactired by someone over in Europe or Asia and repackaged to look like US made?

The primers are good, I used a bunch last year.

My understanding is that HMT bought (at least interest in) in European primer and powder manufacturers.

Leading up to the election I bought almost triple that amount so if 10k is happiness I should be convulsing about now :D I will say though it is nice having stock on hand for sure . I stocked up on a bunch of stuff and at the time it put a strain on the budget . I'm so glad I did though ;)

Sharpenit,

Please see my note edited into your post. Forum rules have a link in the blue bar at the top of the page.

That looks much like the old Federal Packaging. The plastic trays are useful to competitive airgun shooters. You inspect each pellet, and if you use a sizer, run them through that, then place the pellets in the tray to help keep track of your shot count.
