You know the ones. They may be your favorites, maybe not, but you would never part with them. Or perhaps its the next purchase on your list because no collection is complete without one. What are your must have handguns?

On the list for my collector-esque pistols

luger p08
colt 1911
west german sig p226 & p228
walther ppk
cz 75
fn high power
a makarov

of what I would classify as "new shooters" I want, but wouldn't necessarily hold onto to the end of time:

ruger mkIII
sig 220 sport stock
sig 226 x5 all around
springfield 1911 compact commander
fnp45 tactical
five seven
s&w mp40
ruger lcp
kahr cw9

A makarov is a must for me as well, and next on my list. Bought one as a gift for one of my best friends before and I loved it before I handed it over. What a cool piece of history it is!

Items I own and would not part with:
Colt Mustang .380
S&W Model 66 .357
Ruger Mark II .22
SA 1911 .45

Items I do not own, but feel are essential for my collection:
Walther PPK .32 or .380
Snub-nosed S&W or Colt six shot .38 revolver

If I thought about it more I am sure I could come up with others, but these are on my “wish list” now.

My must haves ...

92FS
NEOS in 2-tone INOX with the 4.5" barrel
CZ75B SS 2-tone (with black grips)
96A1 INOX 2-tone (this one is near the top of the short list!!!)

I think that covers it, everything else I could part with, I won't part with any of them, but I could if I had to (really, I could, at any time, if I wanted to, I'm not in denial )

S&W K-Frames and J-Frames,,,

Especially the ones that are matching companions in .22 LR and a Centerfire cartridge.

Model 14 and Model 17
Model 15 and Model 18
Model 34 and Model 36

Just my personal have to have guns,,,

.

If I had to start selling off handguns, these would be the last to go.

S&W Model 60
S&W Model 10
S&W Model 15
S&W Model 19
Colt 1911A1 GI
Colt Python
S&W K-22 pre-Model 17

I find it hard to imagine any gun collectiong without a 6" .357 and a full size 1911. Mine are a S&W 686 and a Springfield TRP and I wouldn't part with either of them.

A few that I concider paramount to a collection of great or original designs which had a effect on the gun industry in no particular order.
Colt model P single action army
Colt 1911 (really need 3 a GI version,a Target version and a Carry gun)
Luger P08
Walther PP/PPK
Walther P38
Browning Hi power
Makarov
CZ52
CZ75
HK P7
Smith DAs need a J,K,L and N frame
Ruger Blackhawk

I've got about all the ones I want. All bases covered. Perhaps a couple to fill in a small void but only for collectability purposes:

P7K3
P7M10

Yeah there's another I'd like to add but realistically and financially not happening right away (P210)

My collection will probably never be complete there's always something new that i find myself wanting to add to the collection. Included in that list right now is an H&K P30, a Sig 229, a kahr pm45, and a glock 26.

Guns in my collection, that I will never give up ...until I'm gone ...

Two 1911's, full sized 5" barrels, made by Wilson Combat - one in 9mm and one in .45acp - all stainless, mag wells, ambi safety, night sites.

Revolvers - all S&W ( none newer than a dash 2 enginerring revision):
Model 19, .357 mag, 4", Nickel
Model 27, .357 mag, 4" Nickel and a 6" Blued
Model 29, .44 mag, 8 3/8" Nickel

Other Semi-Autos
Sig X-Five, SAO, 5", adjustable trigger - one in 9mm and one in .40S&W

( the other 25 or 30 guns - other 1911's, Sigs, .22's ) will all go to one of the boys long before I'm gone ) ....

I have several already, a S&W 686, a Glock 26, a Ruger MK2 stainless, and a Ruger LCP. Each gun is perfect for its purpose. Next on the list would probably be a Sig 226, a Colt DS or Python, or several other S&W revolvers, the 29, the 36, the 66, mostly all well made revolvers on my wish list...

A couple of 1911's (I could never just have one)
C96 Mauser Broomhandle
Ruger GP100 or S&W 686
Beretta 92fs
A pair of flintlock dueling pistols. When civilization collapses, I can at least keep my killing tidy and gentlemanly.
