The biggest caliber I can hit her with!

What's similar about a gun and a mother-in-law? If there is one around, you just need to shoot it.

Well - assuming you ain't totally tongue in cheek - I wouldn't get mine any gun.

She's in her mid 70s (widowed) and loves to go out dancing. She isn't anti-gun by any stretch - when she was younger she was rumored to be a hell of a game shot - but is one of those folks who "just isn't interested".

However, she does have a mean looking short bladed knife she's asked me to sharpen on occassion. It's about the size that'd fit in her purse and I never see it in the knife drawer in her kitchen.

We now live 4,000 miles away from her - but for some reason neither my wife nor I worry about her.

By the by - I'm really fond of the lady - though we've been known not to see eye to eye on some subjects, and wish she was living a lot closer.

I use to know an old, church going lady that
was pushing 90 years of age; and see packed
a Colt 1911 (standard issue) .45 ACP, in her
purse. :D Talk about a "Pistol Pack'in Granny" :)

Mine is in her 40's and came with a Colt Detective .38spl. a Concealled Carry Permit and is a certifed instructor for CCW. Couldn't ask for better!

Mine has one (.38) and it needs to be taken away.

Upon showing her my USP40 for the first time, as I was handing it to her about to explain it was unloaded etc....she snatches it out of my hand, and immediatly pulls the trigger. Yikes!!! She later produced her .38 revolver which was rusty, with ammo in it that looked about as old as she was.

I moved to another state with her daughter.

I got a nice revolver for my mother in law but the guy I traded to keeps trying to bring her back!<BSEG>
