Hand gun values

My friend is divorcing and selling his house. He'll be leaving the county, so he needs to turn his hand gun license.

He has 3 guns and needs to determine a value.

1- A Colt Commander Elite. Stainless with a satin blued barrel.

2- A Ruger Mark II .22 Rimfire. Stainless Steel. Long, flat sided barrel, Leopold 2 1/2 power scope.

Both guns have minimal rounds through them, and look "As-new". The third gun has issues. It is ...

3- A Mitchell Arms .45 Long Colt Single Action revolver 6, or 7 1/2" barrel. Nickel plated. The plating is peeling off. The cylinder is a bit out of time.

Well, that's it. Don't PM me and make offers. If I pass on any or all of them, I'll post them here.

So, what are they fairly worth?

Why that's an easy one. They're worth only what someone is willing to pay for them.

OF course, if you go to the gunsamerica site you'll likely see each one's twin listed for enormous sum's of money, for instance the Commander is going anywhere from $750 to $4,500 bucks... It all depends.. The Ruger Mark II averages $260 to $500 depending on condition.... The Mitchell is a bit harder to find, there's a Uberti in Blue for $360...

Now you take all of that info, then go search a few other gun sites and you get to know what other people are seeking for their pieces.

Notice how I said ASKING... None of those pieces are sold, only For Sale, so, in order to sell his stuff he's going to have to ask a price or take offers, then make adjustments to appease his sense of their worth versus the going Fair market value, versus his need to sell in urgency due to his transmission of residency.

Now, that all said, I only ogt $40 bucks to my name, so I'll have to pass on the opportunity to get a nice Colt and Mitchell.. :(

Good luck
