hand gun and rifle question

i recently bought a colt series 80 gold cup national match,stainless with polished sides.it's a used gun with slight scuffing on the shiney part of the right side of the frame.i'give $592.00 tax included-deal or not.........if i swap from a 20"a2 upper to a 16"a2 what would the weight difference be.thinking about keeping my old upper and buying 16" that way i can have two rifles in one.....well thanks your friend pooh

Asking a rifle question in the semiautomatic handgun forum is not likely to get a response, especially with the crude signature and the whiny second post.

Posting a message in the rifle forum with title "Weight difference - 16" vs. 20" barrel on AR15" will - assuming you have the standard weight barrel, and not one of the heavy target barrels.

Or, you could take the 30 seconds it takes to go to one of the AR15 manufacturer's websites, and look it up. Out of curiousity, I went to the Bushmaster site to learn that the difference on some models, anyway, was .59 lbs. If you buy a new upper, you'll have two uppers, not two rifles.
