hammerli 308

As the proud owner of many Hammerli pistols (11) . I need to know why is the 308 so difficult to master?

Of all the other pistols the 308 is by far the most hard to shoot right, when I get 90% succes with others, I get only 65% with this gun. I´ve tried other 308´s but with the same results, all of my pistols have the same sights including the 308.

any book worth reading about hammerli pistols?

Pepemarine, you're not refering to the Hammerli International Model 208, pictured above? I'm not aware of a 308 model designation used by Hammerli.

I too have a Hämmerli 208 and shoot it worse it than the H&K or the Glock.

For me it's the one handed grip that enlarges the group size - not enough strength to hold it steady enough, but I hope that will come with more training. :)

I usually load up as much weight towards the muzzle on my 160 and 280 to help smooth out my weave. Have you tried the heavier barrel weight on your 208?

I have tried everything, even bench resting the gun. even had some special weights made(lighter and heavier) in my machine shop. I even shoot better with my smith and wesson revolver in .22 lr. have you experienced somethimg similar or is there a special technique?

any book worth reading?
do you know any wbsite related to Hammerli?
